Emotional Cheating

I had someone email me to ask if there is such a thing as emotional cheating on your mate? I believe that there is but I also believe that sometimes people are pushed into communication with someone else when they cannot communicate with the person they love. With the age of the Internet, I think that emotional cheating is more prevalent than ever. I have heard of marriages breaking up because one of the spouses spends so much time in chat rooms or cyber sexing with strangers. Example look at supermodel Christie Brinkley and Husband they are get a divorce and two of the prime reasons why the couple is calling it quits is that the husband has a porn addiction and he is have cyber sex with random women. The lack of communication in a relationship can kill it faster than anything else. I was involved with someone who always said they did not want to discuss our issues or discuss anything period. It was like living in a dead space. So glad that is over.
Are any of you in relationships or have you been in relationships where your partner refused to communicate with you? Did you find some sort of satisfaction with another person? Do you feel that sex has to be involved to constitute cheating? If your man or woman goes out to dinner, the movies, or spends time with a person of the opposite sex instead of with you, does it make you suspicious or angry?

Somebody wrote me the other day asking me for my opinion and I thought about the question and answered back the following. I would love to hear your opinion and advice that you would give if asked the same question.



Hi Jazzie,
My name is Kim. I have been on my job for six and a half years and it's very discriminating, racially and sexually. I'm looking into another career. My question is should I quit my job, go on welfare and go back to school? Or should I get a new full time job to make the money I make now and also try to go back to school?

Well….how great is the welfare system these days! Listen, I am not paying for that. As much as I would love to have a hand in helping you beat the system, I am a part of the tax-paying system and I can't co-sign with you. Get two jobs and work like the rest of us!
